In
April of 2007, I resigned from my position as Executive Director of the
National Voting Rights
Museum & Institute. This decision did
not come easily. During my tenure at the National
Voting Rights Museum & Institute, there was little time to focus on anything
but trying to keep those doors open.
In March of 2007, I resigned from my position as Executive Director. I
don’t mind telling you it was the most painful
decision I have ever made.
I realized that I was not
doing what I needed to do. Not just for me but for all that I encountered.
Over the years I have talked to thousands of young people and shared my
stories of struggle. I have watched them walk into the Museum without a
clue to who they are. After sharing my
life stories with them the transformation was
amazing. Even the harden street wise youth who the chaperones had lost
faith in were transformed. The thousands of letters I have
received from the youth further confirmed that I should obey the Creator and
do what He has pre-destined for me.
In April of 2007, I joined
M & M Tours as head of the newly established Specialty Tour Division,
Journeys for the Soul. My mission is to develop and implement quality
educational journeys of the Civil Rights Struggle for all age groups. This
position allows me to personally touch more young people without the
restraints of running a business. I am excited and happier than I have been
for long time.
Our company offers a
variety of soul changing journeys. We have learned guides who will take you
through history from Civil War to Civil Rights and all in between. We
offered personal service to large group or individuals.
